Stephanie Meyer was forced to defend herself on August ‘09 after Jordan Scott sent a cease and desist letter to the publishers of her 2008 novel Breaking Dawn, the fourth in the hit Twilight series, alleging it bears a "striking and substantial similarity" to Scott's 2006 fantasy The Nocturne. However, a Los Angeles judge has dismissed the lawsuit against Meyer.
