Simon Cowell Signed $162 Million Deal?

Simon Cowell not only had he pocketed loads of thanks for his UK TV and American Idol shows but now he’s signed a $162 million deal to bring The X Factor to America.

Not only that, but he wants to bring Cheryl Cole with him as they push old show American Idol, to one side, and offer the X Factor in its place .

The main difference is, of course, that Simon Cowell will now sign the winner to his own record label, rather than just being there as a paid judge, therefore, the new series of American Idol, which has started yesterday will be the last one ever for Simon, while The X Factor is currently scheduled to start in the fall of 2011.

However, the obvious problem there is that one of the shows will have to be moved, as the UK version starts at around the same time - meaning that one will probably move to the Spring.
