Lady GAGA cancelled a string of concerts over the weekend Jan16-17, ‘10 – just hours after she was deemed fit to perform on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Lady GAGA scrapped a show at Purdue University in Indianaon Thursday Jan 14, ‘10 after collapsing as she prepared to take the stage.
She was later diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat and took to her Twitter.com page to apologize to her supporters, insisting she was devastated by the cancellation.
Lady GAGA was back on stage just a day later on Friday Jan 15, ‘10 after she was given the all clear to travel to Chicago, Illinois to sing live on Winfrey’s show.
But fans were in for more disappointment when the star subsequently cancelled her show in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday night Jan 16, ‘10 and her planned concert in Wallingford, Connecticut on Sunday Jan 17, ‘10.
She also postponed Monday’s Jan 18, ‘10 concert in Uncasville, Connecticut with plans to announce a rescheduled date.
Lady GAGA also pulled out of a planned gay rights charity gala which she was due to host in Atlantic City on Saturday Jan 16, ‘10.
A statement on the star’s website claims she has been ordered to rest by doctors.
It reads, “Due to exhaustion and dehydration, Lady Gaga collapsed and passed out before her show last night in West Lafayette, IN. Her physician has advised her to take a few days off to rest”.
